Hello and welcome to Vintage Imagery. This has been a pet project on my list for a few years now. I'm excited to finally launch it and offer up vintage photos and fun, old ephemera to visitors to use in their scrapbooking, designs or other projects.
The content found on this site has been (mostly) from my own vintage collection, scanned in, and added here to the online collection.
There is just something almost magical about old photos, advertisements, mementos, etc. They evoke feelings of wonder and awe, and at times, even sadness that these are mostly long-gone people, of the same world as us, and yet looking like an entirely different world all together.
I often stare at an old photo and get lost in the story it's trying to tell. What was the person or people like? What were the circumstances of that exact day or hour or just moment, in their lives? Did they go on to live a happy life? What were they thinking at the time of the photograph?
Old places, too, can be hauntingly curious. Wondering if it still exists, what it looks like now .. these are driving questions for the most serious lovers of all things old and vintage.
There are stories to be told, and they say a picture speaks a thousand words!
